
Luke Netzley is an American writer, photographer, and graduate from Cardiff University's School for Journalism. He is currently the deputy editor of LA Downtown News, Pasadena Weekly and Arroyo Monthly. His career as a journalist began with an article named "The Faces of Khao San," a personal essay that explores the relationship between tourism and the sex trafficking industry in Thailand. After being named Soroptimist International's Young Journalist of 2019/20, Luke spent two months living and working in the Sichuanese capital of Chengdu as a photographer before graduating with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Cardiff University. In 2021, he returned to the United States and began working as a writer and editor in Los Angeles, where he still lives today.
