Luke Netzley is an American writer, photographer, and former deputy editor of LA Downtown News, Pasadena Weekly and Arroyo Monthly. His career as a journalist began with an article named "The Faces of Khao San," a personal essay that explores the relationship between tourism and the sex trafficking industry in Thailand. After being named Soroptimist International's Young Journalist of 2019/20, Luke spent two months living and working in the Sichuanese capital of Chengdu as a photographer before graduating with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Cardiff University. In 2021, he returned to the United States and began working as a writer and editor in Los Angeles, where he still lives today.
